I am quite disappointed with the state of this game.

I saw some videos of the game and after having played some stardock games (sins and galciv) I just bought this game out of interest because I liked the company and its philosophy of support. usually I read reviews of download a game first. my mistake.

First none of the matchmaking services are working. At all. Ok custom game then. I spent two days now trying to find a working custom game. 90% of my time I spend 25 minutes in a lobby when everyone is trying to figure out why this guy or that guy cant connect. Then when I play it lags like hell and people are kicked out all of the time. For fucks sake it is 2009 !!!!! I used to play doom2 or duke nukem 3d over the network with less problems. Whatever happened to such noble concepts like "a server"?? Everyone connecting to everyone?? I mean you are just asking for trouble. its not like this is UT3 or something everything is moving so slowly anyway.

Also the whole server browser interface and the amount of information that is contained in the server browser is just a joke. No ping in the server browser??? It is 2009!!!

This game is unplayable atm so I wonder what I spent my money for. There is a reason why some peopel are cautious and download and test a game first befoe buying (no I am not talking about a demo). Seeing this mess now how can you argue with that?

The only conclusion is that this game was shipped before any testing was done and I am tester now and I also pay for it. therefor gamespot was totally right in their review. A review is about wheter the game is fun or not and not wheter it might be in 4 patches.

Sorry Stardock that was nothing. One customer lost.

P.S. may well be that in the US everything works just fine but that is no good for me

We actually had a tread going pleading to pospone the release.  The game had issues the day before 0 day patch.

GSP/Stardock is not like EA at all...  EA just targets sales for the first 6 months, then all of a sudden they drop it for the next one.  I don't think stardock will take the same path...  or at least I hope they don't.

No, you're not. Nothing will ever come close except for Darkfall, which broke AoC's record far too easily, but that's an exception most people were expecting.

HAHAHAHAHA im just bworsing the darkfall forum ^^ i remember how a buddy of mien told me mounths ago "darkfall is going to be SOO awesome!" and i told him it is going to be just like vanguard and now what have we? Vanguard ² HAHAHAHAHA xD!
