GameStop or DD?

Hmmm gamestop is right across the street and I get an actual physical copy of the game for 40 bucks or I can get a digital download version..... Hmmmmmmmmmmm.

Are there any advantages of buying it straight off of impulse? I really really like having physical copies of all my games.

Please reply soon its almost closing time and I want this =D.

Impulse: I believe you can burn the game to a DVD. Not sure on the details. Stardock and GPG earn more money per copy sold if you get it through Direct Download. Plus, you'd be punishing GameStop for its early street date.

Can always download the game any time you ever need to.  Can go to a friends house, not have to carry a CD.  Don't ever have to worry about losing the CD, or getting a scratch on it.  Digial download IMO is the way of the future.

You would be happier if you put that cash in a paper shredder and used it to mulch the lawn.  Read the reviews... this game sucks.

Although socal 242 makes a strong point, i would go for the Direct Download as well, because I have a tendancy to lose things like the disk, or lose the CD key, or some of the other reasons listed above. Almost 90% of the games i play now are from steam or impulse.

I read the reviews and I have played the game but I like it so I want to buy it. Also you say I can BURN the game without a crappy torrented version? That would be shweeeeeeeeeet. Can anyone confirm this? I'd go DD right now if its true I can burn this through IMPULSE or whatever.

The retail version you can install it on any offline pc and play it, without having to connect to the internet to register. Only if you want updates.

The online copy needs you to be online (and registered) when you install it (=DRM).

I choose the retail version because of this thing.

Digital download gives more money to stardock which is a good thing.

You can burn the downloaded version but it requires your account/password to install it on another pc.

The retail dvd, you can install it on any computers without cdkey.  I would pick retail version for convience.

Yes. Impulse lets you archive the game into an *.impulse file, which I assume is a proprietary format that Impulse can restore to the full game.

Incorrect.  The game is great, and the reviews are mixed.  And the sites that are hammering it the hardest are StupidStop and IGN, who rank you down for failing to advertise on their site.  The 'real' review sites all love it.

Any digital distributor - steam or impulse. You can archive your games on a separate HD, DVDs or any storage device.

That's your opinion (also boarderline troll).

Mine, is that this game is really really fun, it's not perfect it has some issues -- the biggest of which was the connectivity problems which is getting better.
