Scroll Speed

Is there an option available (or perhaps a file that could be edited) to increase the scroll speed of the screen as it pans across the map?  This would ideally affect each of the methods of scrolling. (i.e WASD, Arrow Keys, and mouse at the edge of the screen)

I have looked pretty diligently, but am not seeing anything of this sort.

I also think it would be cool to be able to adjust each scroll speed separately, for example making the "mouse at the edge of the screen" move slower, while "WASD" would cause the screen to pan very quickly; allowing "WASD" to be used to target a desired general area quickly, and then the edges of the screen for fine tuning the screen position once you are in the target area.

If this is implemented, could the Ctrl scroll speed thing get removed? find it really annoying since it is the only logically "free" button for my voice chat

Ctrl!  Thats kinda what I was looking for.  Now if only there was a way to adjust the speed permanently so that I can just leave it on a higher setting all the time. *hopes*

I looked up Ctrl in Options (Controls) and it shows "Restrict to Demigods" as the function it is bound to.  I do not quite understand this.  Is anyone able to explain the meaning of this function's name?

Just to reply to this quick: Holding CTRL down will only allow you to click on a Demigod. It means when you're trying to target that stealthy little skeleton of Lord Erebus rather than one of his million minions, just hold CTRL, and you're garaunteed to click him and not them by mistake.

In response to the thread, this would be exceptionally helpful!

Perhaps an even more logical to-the-point method of moving your view around the map for "situational awareness" is to be able to click the mini-map to directly "jump" to that area of the map as in most other RTS games I've played.

For example you want to find out quickly what your allies are doing, their damange status and where they are on the map in a multiplayer match.

I think this feature (or similar method of INTUITIVE jump view) is quite essential for core gameplay in an RTS or RTS hybrid game especially for coordinated multiplayer.

This is a highly promising game if these kinds of basic feature "edges" are smoothed out.
