Two Demigod games Registered to the same account

I've been reading the forums trying to figure out what to do about this issue and it seems like many others are having the same issue, but nobody has given a response on what Stardock is going to do to fix it. The issue I'm speaking of is the fact that if you buy the game (digital download) and plan on giving it to a friend as a gift, you can't. I bought my version of demigod from the store and it works fine, but when I purchased the digital download for my friend, the game was registered to my account also because I used my email address to send the confirmation email to instead of his. I didn't even realize this would be that big of an issue until after I got the confirmation email and it stated I should use the email address of the person that the game will be going to.

I guess you kind of can gift the game to a friend because my friend can play single player no problem. However, because the game is registered to my account, my friend can't log into multiplayer because it keeps giving him an invalid username/password message everytime. I put in a ticket on the support site two days ago and still haven't gotten a response. What I'm trying to find out is if anybody at Stardock can move the digital download version of the game over to my friend's account so he can register it and play online or if my money can be refunded so I can buy the game again and use his email when I purchase the game. If I could get some kind of response to this issue it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I did the exact same thing, bought a retail copy and then a digital copy for my Son to play and didn't even think about an issue with using the same email account. It was an easy fix however, all I did was email [email protected] and explain the issue and within 15 minutes they transfered the registration to my Sons' email address and sent me an email confirmation.

Make sure to include your information from the the digital purchase like the sales number and what not. I just replied back to the confirmation email they sent me when I purchased the digital copy.

I bought the digital download as a gift for a friend.  After puting in my information it asked for the "Recipient's Information" i.e. the person you are giving the game to.  At that point I put in his name and email and it sent the gift code directly to him.  No trouble at all.

IIRC you can unregister any serial-based game from your account and then register it for another. Click blue "?" button at top right of Impulse window -> register product with Impulse -> right-click one of your Demigod serials -> Write the serial down -> Remove. Now register it with another account. Easy peasy.

At present there is no other way around this aside from emailing us at [email protected] and have us do it. The method Hettikus described will not work as the serial number will still be associated with the account it is registered to, even if you remove it from your Impulse list of registrations.
