New Demigod: The Sphinx -- gravity abilities!

A new demigod idea

Sphinx, General: Melee standard attack, mid-range health and mana, higher-than-average armor, low-to-mid speed, solid standard attack

Summon - Summon up to four (at maxed level) ox-men. Have high armor, resistance to AoE effects, melee, somewhat slow moving, and low DPS.

Quicksand - Set a pole at target location; pulls all nearby units towards it, including allied units and even the Sphinx himself.  Higher levels grants it a wider and more severe area of effect. Lvl 15 bonus grants the Spinx wings which triples the effect of his gravity pole on him personally.

Riddle - Interrupts target demigod, burns mana, puts all activatable abilities on cooldown.

Sandstorm - AoE damage around target location.  Small area of effect, high damage.

Kickup - Cleave effect and additional damage added to the Sphinx's standard attack.

Unblinking eye - Grants further sight range and shoots a constant laser at nearby enemies.  Lvl 15 bonus grants a pulse-effect to the laser that hits enemies that are very close to the Sphinx every 15 or so seconds.

Callouses - Drastically increases summoned minions' armor and health. Lvl 15 bonus grants the Sphinx a proc off his standard attack to make his minions immune to all non-standard attack damage for a duration of time.

Morale - Advances all minions' stats.

Some cool ideas there. I especially like Quicksand, especially that it also affects Sphinx and allies. I've no idea how balanced Sphinx would be, but at first sight this sounds something like this would be fun to play.

But really.. Kickup? :P

I want the dead parrot demigod.  "Pinin' for the fjords", "He's just restin'", and "E's a norwegian blue" would all be awesome abilities.

A sphinx would be damn cool though :P.

True, cleave effects might have to be left as item-granted only, but there's nothing saying it can't be a high level ability, say first rank is at lvl 10, second at 15.

Nah, I just meant the name. Regulus has something like cleave in Divine Fury, though it costs some mana to use, and UB's Post Mortum is for most of the game effectively cleave, so I think it's pretty balanced as skill.

I was thinking... I dunno, paws knocking up pieces of the ground.  I think the quicksand idea used up all the creative juice I have left after a day at the office.
