Stardock DID NOT make this game, Gas Powered Games did.

THIS IS A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT.

Just to end all the confusion that everyone seems to have.  People are spouting about Stardock violating their own 'bill of rights' and such.  Stardock DID NOT CREATE DEMIGOD.  Gas Powered Games (Chris Taylor's crew) is responsible for Demigod.

The botched multiplayer aspects however, I would blame Stardock for.  The game is clearly an amazing game, and I thank Gas Powered Games for what they created.  However, the multiplayer portion is a botched joke.  There are sites all over google stating that pirates are the cause.  Im sorry, but PIRATES ARE NOT THE CAUSE.  Stardock is the cause, and Frogboy has clarified his declaration and taken the blame like a man.

Anyway, I got my refunds for the purchases I made, and will gladly re-purchase the game once Stardock finds a way to repair their portion of the game (Impulse and the multiplayer networking code).

weird reasoning if you plan to buy later anyway.  I plan to learn in the meantime to be better later when online is better.  I play tonnes of online skirmishes against real people right now it just takes too long to get a game going.

It's a bit of a moot point who made the game considering these are the official forums, and this is where the tech support takes place - so of course all problems will be brought up here.

well Stardock is responsible for all the connectivity stuff until you get into the match lobby and as nearly everyone who is attacking Demigod is attacking it for exactly that part of the multiplayer system, they are totally attacking Stardock. GPG nearly can't do anything about it , with the exception of not kicking people as fast ingame if they have a short connection problem.

You can of course attack GPG for the decision to team up with Stardock if you really want to.

About 1/3 of the games I join fail to start. 2/3 work fine.

If I played for 3 hours, I would probably lose about 15 minutes on failed game launches at most.

Maybe the game is not working so we for some of you out there, and thats almost certainly a result of an incorrectly configured firewall/router, or an ISP that throttles or restricts p2p traffic.

The game isnt that bad now. If you cant connect it not Stardock's or GPG's fault.
