Yet another dull uncompetitive match

So I play a game of squash - and come home to another game of demigod.

 

Man is it dull - pantheon match - I appear to be the only human playing...

It was rather easy and all in all a waste of 30 minutes, if i wana play against bots, i play singleplayer tournament, i go nline, i wana play HUMANS....

 

When is this getting sorted - beginning to think i wasted my £27

Why not play custom games until pantheon is fixed?  It's like you keep eating the rottenberry pie and crying when you've got cherry cheesecake right next to you, just wanting to be eaten.  I'm giving you the spoon, go ahead.

Because thats a flop - I paid my money and expect an infrastructure ... end of story there is no argument there at all. Custom games i double click and almost instantly am told I cannot connect - and I am a computer science student I understand and have my computer and network set up to perfect.

Indeed. Putting AI in the Pantheon where the AI is obviously not up to the tast is just stupid. Then again, maybe they're just doing it to compensate for their shitty networking, where 3v3 Human pantheon matches are virtually unheard of, since someone always drops and fucks it up for everyone.

Why are Pantheon games any better than custom games? I guess I still don't quite understand what Pantheon adds exactly except another rather minor little layer of metagame.

Ooooh wait... are Pantheon matches all tournament-style? I have no idea, as I only tried to play Pantheon games back when no one could connect to them, and I haven't tried since :p

I think pantheon is the equiv of ranked - i dont think custom games add to your rank.

Custom games add to your overall rank right now but they are changing that in the future so it does not.

Err, no, I'm pretty sure at this point every single game, even with the other DGs being 100% AI, add to your "rank" (or equivalent thereof in DG). My player sheet in the Pantheon webpage is not empty, even though I have never played Pantheon.

Keep in mind, however, that the ranking system is soon going to be reset anyway after the devs have established what games they would like to have contribute to rankings and what they would like to have not contribute to them.

(They said that they would like only Pantheon games to contribute to rank, as you have assumed. However, I think this is a big mistake unless they make some major changes to Pantheon.)
