This only happens in multiplayer either within a game or in the lobby.

I dont know what is happening today but after 5pm my games keep crashing to desktop with either a Visual C++ error or this Exception Access Violation.

It was working ok yesterday. I havn't installed anything new as well.

snif :'( sniff... me too.  only started doing this today.  usualy happens half way though a game for me or when i minimis my game while its looking for people in Pantheon.  usualy comes up with a Microsoft Visual C++ Library Running Error.

as for where to post bugs... theres a few threads in the Idea section where people have been pooling bugs and fixes.  as fr an offical one i think the Dev's might have their hands full with the connection thing right now.

As a general rule of thumb, while playing Demigod, do not alt-tab back to desktop. I've been in touch with someone from SD on this issue, it's schizophrenic to replicate and only seems to happen while in a multiplayer lobby or in a multiplayer game. Under such circumstances. avoid alt-tabbing back to desktop at all costs, for the exact cause of the crash has yet to be determined. If you feel an insatiable need to look at other windows while playing the game, go to your video options and change the game to windowed mode and learn to use WSAD to scroll instead of the mouse.

Because this happens in every online game I play.......every single one.

I've tried everything disabled sound with the /Nosound shortcut.

Trying both Nvidia Drivers 182.50 and 185.68..

Latest XFI sound drivers switched to stereo.

Disabling the reverb in the sound options.

Latest bios for my EVGA 790i ultra

I wonder if because I am running Windows Server 2008 X64.....with 4 gigs of DDR3 ram causes the problem.

Anyone else here use a X64 operating system?

All my 15+ other games work 100% Crysis, Left 4 Dead, Dow 2 etc...

While playing Demigod online the game always crash's to desktop and give me a Runtime Error Microsoft Visual Basic C++.

(Please see .jpeg for error message)

This has been happening consistently since yesterday night.

I am using all the latest drivers, my system is completely stable otherwise.

I've included my dxdiag.txt, jpeg error, Demigod log file.

Please look this through and find a solution for me.

Hello,

Some freezing/crashing/slowdown issues are being caused by an audio conflict. The developers are aware of the issue and are working on a solution for it.

There are a few things you could try that have worked for many people on the forums.

First, make sure your audio drivers are completely up to date.
Second, go to the audio settings in the game and turn off the Reverb option.
Third, go to the Windows Control Panel and open your audio/sound settings and change the configuration to 'Stereo'.
Lastly, if none of the other options helped, make a shortcut to Demigod on your desktop and open it's properties. At the end of the 'Target' line add a space and "/nosound" (without the quotes). This will load the game with all sound rendering turned off(playing the game without sound really isn't as fun, but it will make the game playable until the issue is resolved).

If none of these help, then your issue is being caused by something else, and you should respond to this support ticket for further assistance.

Thank you for the quick response. I'd like to confirm I've already tried the /nosound executable shortcut but I still run into the same problems.

I have installed the latest DirectX version from March 2009.

I tried running the game in stereo but the problem persists.

I work as a technician in IT so I know what I am doing.

As specified this only happens Online I can play for hours on end in Single Player mode.

I never had this problem in the first version of demigod it seemed to appear after playing a couple of multiplayer games about 3 days ago.

I upgraded to the latest version yesterday and I still am experiencing problems.

All my drivers are up to date. Latest Nvidia Drivers, Latest Soundblaster XFI drivers, latest motherboard bios everything is good.

It seems after the game was updated to .93 these problems started appearing.

If this may help in any way. I've followed Monks guide to in the forum to configure my connection. http://forums.demigodthegame.com/345345

My current network setup is Modem/Router LinksysWRT610N /PC.

I have ports 6073 and 6100-6200 UDP forwarded to my static PC address.

I've disabled UPnP within my modem and my Router.

I modified the ImpulseReactorOptions.exe to allow ports 6112 to 6132 (default)

I've disabled the SPI firewall on my router and have created and exception in my windows firewall to let DEMIGOD and Impulse run without traffic filtering. My antivirus is Webroot Spyware and Antivirus with Gaming mode turned on.

My NAT is enabled but most of the filtering option are disabled.

Defragged my computer as well.

All my 20+ other games installed play perfectly Left4Dead, Crysis, DOW2 etc.

System Specs.
Windows Server 2008 latest updates installed.
Q9650 at 4ghz
EVGA GTX260
Soundblaster XFI Fatal1ty Gaming edition

hmmmm.......this is related to windows xp x64

I'm running Windows Server 2008 the kernel is exactly the same as Vista x64 bit.

The news is dissapointing though for all the windows XP x64 bit users.

I'm waiting for the next patch to see if anything gets fixed. I'm currently experiencing getting kicked for absolutely no reason and these unhandled exceptions.

Im getting the same error but in both multiplayer and single player.  I can let the game raun all day alone but as soon as a make a match and hit "launch" thats when i get the error everytime.  Ive tried /nosound and update everything.

Can we please get some frakkin official service here.  Ive not owned this game 24hours and Im about to ask for a refund.  The game looks awsome...but I can know for sure cause i havent gotten to actually play a match yet.  I mean...for christs sakes...at least respond back with some BS or something so it looks like yall care.
