2v3 in a Pantheon game

The games tried to create a 3v3 game on the Crucible map but one of the players was dropped (big surprise). Because the map is listed for 2v2 play no bot came in the place of the player that left leaving us 2v3. Seeing this the other player decided to quit. I had to follow suit.

Another perfect multiplayer experience.

I had the same experience but it was set as 3 humans vs 2 humans and 1 AI (I assume). A player was dropped leaving 1 AI and myself. The AI was almost worse than no teammate.

I've had this happen a couple times and honestly I'm pretty sure its a bug with matchmaking for crucible.  Ive never seen complains for it other than crucible and its happened EVERY crucible pantheon match ive been in.

edit:

nm, just saw another thread 5 seconds later that had a 4v2 on prison.  =/

Unless this was a Domination game, the other player who dropped was wrong.

2v3 is totally winnable if there are no AIs, especially on Crucible.  I've played it on both sides; when I was on the 2 side I won both times, and when I was on the 3 side it was tough going before I got kicked by network problems.  You just need to know the game mechanics and how to exploit the situation.  Those have been some of the most fun matches I've played, and I hope Stardock leaves this capability in.

Now, if there are AIs (i.e., it's 2 + 1 AI vs 3 or worse, 1 + 1AI vs 3), you've got no chance.
