Stuck at Replays Menu on Launch

The game installs fine, you run the game, it plays the cinematics great, then sits at the Replays Load/Save menu with nothing to do.

So you've downloaded Demigod and installed it, and watched the beautiful opening movie, only to get stuck at the Replays Menu?

I found the fix for this! 

It is caused by the Windows User Profile having a broken "My Documents" link.  The game can't find where to store its temporary user data and it goes silly.  Repair the "My Documents" link (or "Documents" in Vista) so that it works and is writeable, by fixing the broken Location path, permissions, or possibly by editing the "User Shell Folders" key in HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Explorer.
