Connection info jumps between connections and "waiting for connection data"

I'm constantly having the problem were I've connected to one or two people in the connection info, then it suddenly turns to "waiting for connection data". This has happened in all modes and once where a friend and I were in the game lobby waiting for others to join. I'm sure I'm preaching to a choir here, but I am getting very, very frustrated with these connection problems...

For reference, I'm in the DMZ, all ports are open, no software firewall, no DSL modem firewall.
