Will Demigod work in other countries

Hey,

I currently live in Australia and have been wanting this game every since the idea was brought forward a year ago. The game isn't out until the 21st of May here and I was wondering if bought the game with a digital download would the game work here in Australia and more importantly when the game comes out is it possible to play on Australian servers; i.e does the Demigod online multiplayer follow the same kind of system as Warhammer Online or Warcraft III: Frozen Throne where I can choose which 'battlegate' I want to join. I hope whoever is reading this gets what I am trying to say and can help answer this as this pretty much seals the deal on whether or not me and my mates buy the game.

To recap:
1. Will Demigod digital download work outside of North America
2. If bought from digital download will I be able to play servers in my own country.

Cheers,

There is no region locking. As Demigod's networking is peer-to-peer, the only limitation would be finding local players (which can be as simple as naming a match with "(AUS)" when hosting).

I am very interested to know why the game has P2P networking instead of client server? Some of us don't have phat backbones and good pings to everywhere in the world. I keep getting blamed for lag/packetloss just because I don't have uber routing to one of the 9 other players in a 5v5 game and therefore am kicked.

I've read quite a few complaints saying that Demigod multiplayer doesn't work properly in Germany. I have no idea if this is true. Fact is that I know many Germans, including me, who cannot play online, but this may just be a coincidence.

I find it very disturbing that a game that is (in essence) a multiplayer game uses p2p as its method of communication. If you live in remote parts of the world then you are essentially screwed over. There are so many ISPs out there, so many methods of routing... instead of just having good ping to one server and continously playing on that server you are forced to have good routing to several completely random IPs. This is a very bad form of design because what good is it that p2p has "less lag" if I can't get people to play with me? In my country we only have 3 ISPs to choose from. Am I supposed to pay my ISP for an uber routing account just so I can play this game? Then this comes out to be a very expensive game...
