Can't use ingame IRC

Ok, whenever I try to use the ingame chat, I get a "closing link: liq3 (my_ip)  (excess flood)" message (not exact, but close). 

Help would be appreciated.

What ISP do you use? Some have been known to block IRC traffic.

Thing is, I can get in fine using Impulse or mIRC. It's just the ingame one doesn't work.
