SB audigy crackles in game

Well everything works great in demigods and I think its a blast! Thou I have sound cracking issues. see diag, below. Not sure , I have had this issue with one other game ,forget which, but every other game on this gaming rig works fine just this one atm. Thnx ahead of time devs, awsome game btw!

Most crackling problems, typically common with X-Fi cards and Creative in general were solved by either moving the sound card to a different PCI/PCI-E slot and/or upgrading the sound card drivers to the latest. Your sound drivers appear to be 4 years old.

If you are also overclocking your system you will want to make sure that your PCI bus is locked to 66/33.

That is some fantastic advice.  While you're updating drivers, it wouldn't hurt to update your video driver as well.

Thnx, Kyro, even after updating my drivers it stilled crackeled, however taking off reverb and putting my speakers to headset in my sb settings did the trick, not as "epic" sounding , but good sounds all the same :) I hope a fix is incoming in the future :) but all in all it's great now, no issues ! Thankyou! :) Stardock is the best!


 


Edit: ps. encase u stardock guys follow up on this thread, I know it's not demigod related, but I hope you are going to be company to support and release the new upcoming Majesty 2 being released in the summer, will you be selling this title as well? well try the headphone settings as well, as thats what i did because I have headphones. Also make sure if you have on board audio to have that turned off in bios. All I did was do what was described , turned off reverb and set to headset on my sound settings on my desk top not in game, and it works fine. Thou I have an on board as well and that was disabled in bios to stop conflicts. Also if you installed your basic drivers for your board and do have on board audio I know that can conflict as well and you would need to uninstall those as well. If that doesn't work, the last thing I had to do on a previous game that had this issue, was re-install my system fresh and make sure not to install those drivers I would NOT be using.
