Please reference http://forums.demigodthegame.com/349565 I have updated my video drivers and sadly have the latest audio set. I am still having the same issue. Entire computer locks up with Black screen. Hard boot is only way to get anything to work again. Please let me know what more you need. Attached is the Demigod log in its entirety and my most recent DxDiag with the updated video drivers. Please advise on anything I can do. I appreciate any assistance. I love the game....when I can play it! V/R Nate

Nate, Our Games Software Manager has posted a reply to your Forum post; If there are drivers for your monitor you may want to install those as Vista doesn't always handle the generic monitor driver well. If you have any anti-virus programs, exclude the Demigod folder from it as A/V software actively scanning a game's folder can cause performance issues. Since it's happening during multiplayer, it could also be caused by an internet security program. You could try making an exception for Demigod in any internet security program that you have and see if that clears up the problem. David, Im gaming on a Gateway P7811-FX laptop. Monitor drivers are kind of a non-issue. I can attempt the exclusion on my AV program, but that’s kind of a stretch. The lock up happens in both Single Player and Multiplayer. Demigod has more access to the outside world than it should right now....haha. I appreciate the effort, but it sounds like you guys are drawing blanks as well. Not sure where to go from here... |

Nathanael, Can you check your Anti-Virus configuration settings for any 'extra' functions, like Ad/Spy/Mal watcher apps? I see Windows Defender running, as long as you have a good AV also running, you don't really need WD. I'm wondering if this may be a router issue, can you provide your router and firmware version? Its a linksys wrt54g (embarrassing I know). Strangely enough, my outdated desktop runs DG (albeit sluggishly) without crashing at all. I will test the AV theory tonight and post results. Currently at work. |

Hello, Please try the following: -For VISTA Users: click Start, in the start search field type 'cmd'. Right-click on the search result and select 'Run as administrator'. For XP Users: Click Start and then Run, Type 'cmd' and hit enter. -VISTA ONLY: If UAC is enabled, click 'Continue' -Type: sfc /scannow -Wait for the scan to complete (this can take several minutes) -When the scan has completed, it should give you some feedback as to the result Please let me know whether this resolves your problem or if you have any additional questions. Unfortunately it did not....I'm still crashing. I tried with and without Anti-Virus loaded, before and after running detailed command. I see a few other people in the forum are detailing this same problem On Thu, Apr 30, 2009 at 12:25 PM, TotalGaming.Net Support < [email protected]> wrote: > Hello, > > Please try the following: > > -For VISTA Users: click Start, in the start search field type 'cmd'. > Right-click on the search result and select 'Run as administrator'. > For XP Users: Click Start and then Run, Type 'cmd' and hit enter. > -VISTA ONLY: If UAC is enabled, click 'Continue' > -Type: sfc /scannow > -Wait for the scan to complete (this can take several minutes) > -When the scan has completed, it should give you some feedback as to the > result > > Please let me know whether this resolves your problem or if you have any > additional questions. > > > > Michael Emmerd > Technical Advisor > Stardock Systems, Inc. > http://www.impulsedriven.com > > > Ticket Details > Ticket ID: XZH-925116 > Department: Support - Games > Priority: Received > Status: On Hold > |
