Please make infinite timeouts (pause) enabled by default in singleplayer.

There are (at least) three threads on this forum asking how to pause the game:

I myself had to look up one of those threads to find out how to pause.

Why is the pause button not enabled by default during singleplayer?

It seems very counter intuitive.

because they have used the same model than for supcom: when you play a skirmish match, you are emulating the multiplayer. So you want to have all the same default options, or at least it is how gpg sees things. they could indeed change this, even if it is not by far a major issue.

I do use single player to work on DG's I haven't played much in order to work out the skill trees and to see how they do in different situations.  I'm not in a hurry to upgrade/push the citadel and I'm not too interested in winning as I find the AI to be erratic..  or at least very different than most players.  So if I need to get up for some reason or I want to look closer at the skill tree I don't get concerned with what is happening in the background.  Still, iI would rather be able to just pause the game at those times rather than leave it running.  Nothing new here, just my $.02

Hm...  I should have read the OP closer.

I had not even looked at the game options to see that there was a way to change pausing. Mauxe Fail.

Thanks for the post links though.  They helped
