I Just Purchased Demigod!

I've been thinking about getting this game for a while.  I finally acted, just bought it new on ebay, Collector's Edition for $29 delivered.  I can't wait for it to arrive.  The Rook looks amazing along with Oak and others.  I don't plan to play this game on MP, purchased mostly for SP skirmish play.  I wish there was a site that would depict all of the units in the game.  I'm a huge RTS fan, even though this is not traditional, I'm hoping it's as good as I believe it's going to be.  Cheers!

I hate to break it to you, but SP is really boring (the AI is basically brain-dead and only knows how to thoroughly ignore scenario objectives and go straight for the enemy citadel). I can hardly play more than 2 games in a row. It's not a problem for me, cause I only do that to learn the demigods in preparation for some online fun. But you, you're going to want your money back.

Well it does not really matter these times since you meet AIs in both SP and MP games and well some players are even more braid-dead then NPCs.

Some people have a lot of trouble with AIs.

I bought it two days ago and have been hopelessly addicted since. Sure, lots of nuances to complain about but the potential long term support promised by Stardocks has been tingling with what Demigod can become.

I had a marathon series of 2v2 matches with some friends yesterday till my eyes were red from exhaustion haha.

Make sure you update your copy!

Do not play single player. It really makes the game a lot worst, trust me. Playing 2v2 is a lot of fun online, and single player skirmish is just the same thing except the bots are frustratingly stupid.

Mortissia,

I'm confused about your game.  Why didn't the AI have any points?  Is it fun to play against the AI, is it comptetitive?  How many types of units roughly are in the game 20, 30 or what?

Thanks for your help!

Well I guess statistics just screwed up, point is I signed to ranked match to play against people not against 4 AIs and I did not want to have lost game so I stayed. And well playig against people is way more competitive then vs computers since they are really stupid even on nightmare diffuculty.

Dunno what you mean by units, but there are 8 heroes (4generals/4assassins), with generals you can buy idols, which allows you to summon 2 extra units, you can have up to three idols (so extra 6 units melee/ranged/healers, there are fore tiers of idols), then certain heroes have ability to summon some units and finally there are rugular waves of creeps, which can be boosted via citadel-upgrades (base are melee+ranged->priests>angels>catapultosaurus>giants). That could be roughly about the units.
