Fix crucible map glitch teleportation!

I really doubt this was the intent to give erebus an unfair advantage of teleporting to our base late game after getting giants and locking the portal. Even with the cloak i still think this map should be fixed.

Everyone used to be able to do it easily with Warpstone, they then nerf the range of warpstone and increase it's price.

Yes, please fix that map exploit, it's unfair, cheap, and saps the fun out of the game.

I realize the nubs think it equals massive lulz and don't care whether it's cheap or not.

For those of you who don't know what the exploit is...  play crucible, you will notice that the home base is close to the middle section of the map. Erebus can teleport to your Creep flag from the middle platform effectively screwing up the whoel balance of the game. Fucking bullshit when you're playing conquest.The creeps will obviously assualt your citadel... I HIGHLY doubt the game was ment to be played this way. I hope not, I don't find this simple bullshit trick to consist of any strategy or skill. In fact, there is none involved.

I had heard of this dumb shit before, but was skpetical. Well, i witnessed it now and see what some people were saying.

Please fix it immediatly. It also screws up pantheon really bad (as if it wasn't screwed up enough as it is) effectively giving Darkness players a big advantage... combine that with the rediculously overpower UB that nearly everyone uses on darkness side now and well... it's flat out broken.

I don't think either side should be allowed to warp to the enemies base whatsoever. Teleporting to an already captured flag through actually playing the game right is a different story and completely fine. But you should not be able to perform a warp without any kind of flag or friendly structure to warp to, period.

If you want to be able to do it with warpstone fine, but increase the timer on it so when you warp over you have to wait 60 secs to go back. Erebus's ability shouldnt be able to be used to do this.

I don't know why the hell that portal is cappable anyway. The only way someone will cap it is when you can't leave the healing crystal.

Solution: Remove the flag from that portal on the map. There are other maps with no portal flags, and yet they have controlled portals. I think it'd be for the best to just remove the portal flags from that map.

Am I the only one that finds it fun to teleport back to base, just in time to introduce those cheeky Erebuses (Erebi?) to the business end of Rook's Hammer? :grin: I've had this done to me, and found it quite easy to deal with, provided that you've got your wits about you. If the enemy Erebus in question is able to tank you, your towers, and the next wave of creeps without dying... Well, the fact is that you're probably screwed anyway.

I've never liked hat Cruci Map. T.T

Daikaze, your solution posts another problem...  There are many games I play on Cruic (legit games) where the players who are lose refuse to leave the game, and so they will Crystal Camp and ensure that they have a massive force of beasts from their portal to keep you at bay. The only way to stop them is to turn their own Portal against them. So the Portal Flag is an important part of the map. The real flaw of the map is the overall design. The map needs to be scrapped and completely redesigned.

he wasnt able to tank for more then 5 seconds, i think he was heart of life- misting or something, i had mageslayer and ashkandor and some other stuff. but we had like10 deaths and they had 20, we fought their giants for awhile and grinded money for gear and they didnt, we bought the mint upgrade pretty early, im not sure how he was so beefy.

This would never be a problem if the warpstone hadn't been nerfed to uselessness.  I felt this was a valid tactic in the beta and since everyone could do it, it was fair.  Now warpstone can't reach that far, meaining only Erebus can accomplish this.

I don't agree with removing the portal flag, I think the map is fine like this.  Give warpstone its range back and leave it at its current price.

Warpstone can reach far enough, it just takes a bit of finesse to get it to do so. Still, bringing warpstone up 5 yards range would be good at that price I think.

I was here for the beta.  This was written about many times on the forums, and the Warpstone and the other blink items and abilities were adjusted (mostly nerfed) repeatedly during the beta.  Oddly, every nerf to the Warpstone, even the final one, left it just barely able to get over the gap in Crucible.

 

I'm not commenting on whether this is a good thing, but I'm as sure that it's deliberate as I can be without a Stardock employee saying so.

changing whole skills and items isnt the right way to fix a problem on ---> 1 <--- map, instead they should increase the gap between the middle area and the bases or somekind of invisible wall which doesn't let you klick on the other side even when you're in range...
