Windows XP 64-bt

Demigod supported?

I almost bought Demigod earlier, then noticed that the technical requirements listed in Impulse (but not on the Demigod website) said that only Windows 32-bit with Service Pack 3 was supported.

I have Windows XP Professional 64-bit. Can anyone tell me whether or not I can run Demigod? It would be right about now that a demo version would be useful. *hint hint* ;) I'm only a very occasional gamer so there's no way I'm replacing a nice working OS installation just to play a game.

The real shame is that it doesn't run on Linux as I'd then buy it for sure!

Thanks for any help,

TNNNN

(I posted a similar comment in another thread but it wasn't really the right place, so am re-posting a new thread here).

Apparently I am the exception...

Win xp 64 reboots as soon as the game loads no bsod no log entries and it's not a thermal issue either.

Thanks for all replies. I know that it's supposed to run fine on Vista 64, but I have XP. Torval - if it's okay for you I'm almost tempted to buy it on the off-chance. I'm a bit wary though. I'm not sure if I can get a refund if I buy it as a digital download.

I so shouldn't be doing this without a demo, but I've bought it. It's downloading now. I hope this works.

The customer service page says they'll refund 75% if the product doesn't work because your machine doesn't meet the minimum specs. It's a bit of a process to get it back, though.

Will know in about ten minutes, probably. : /

Thanks all,

Well it works so that's a relief.

Turns out I'm crap at the game, though! :(

Please bear in mind that while it may work for some, we do not officially suport XP64. Vista64 is supported, though.

End of morgue888's quote

sounds like a driver issue not OS issue
