Is there a demo for this game that I could download or will there be? I'm interested in the game but don't buy PC games without a demo because they can't be returned for any reason due to piracy issues.
Also how does the RPG element work? Do you lose everything at the end of each round or do all of your stats/upgrades/money save?
They are working on a demo to be out soon they said.
RPG elements such as items and talent distrubution resets after each game, but when you win you obtain Favor Points which can be used to purchase long term items for your char which you can use 1 of each game.
Can't answer your questions, but I'll add my voice to the pleas for a demo. I'm getting mixed messages over whether or not DG will play on my XP 64-bit system and am reluctant to buy without a demo to test. They do demos for most of their other games... 
There will apparently be a demo available sometime... but you shouldn't hold your breath. You can do what many other people did and try it through other means.
The only thing to remember is you shouldn't play single player too much, because it will get boring if you just play against AI all the time.
It's been released for 2 weeks - chill.
Okay, so I've been reading/watching reviews. Seems like a pretty good game but all the reviews say that it's almost impossible to find a multiplayer game. Are these problems still around or were they fixed?
they will be fixed very soon, the patch that will fix most of the problems should come monday. The devs are working really hard to solve the problems that appeared at the release, and when they will be solved they will work on new features.
