I'd like to disable the "Smiter!"; "such and such is annihilation!" voices. I just find it annoying, similar to quake in that way.
after 10 or 20 matches it becomes a little less annoying but i also don't like that quake voice. I don't think it mix very well with other elements of the game. I hope there is a way to remove it
Someone said its Christopher Lee's voice, while probably untrue, Saraman on top of his big tower screaming is all I can picture now when I hear the voices, lol

Well, he's not billed under his credits. Then again there is no demigod listed on imdb.
As far as christopher lee goes he was Lucan D'lere in EQ2. There are actually some hillarious voice actors for that. Including Heather Graham, Winnie Cooper from the wonder years, and Wesley Crusher from Star trek. Also, the banker in big bend is TOTALLY the guy from those disney commercials who says "buy it today on disney DVD!" I almost lost it laughing when i heard him.
I thought it was someone doing a pretty good Christopher Lee impersonation too actually. Shame Tony Jay isn't around anymore, he'd have done a nice job of it too.
I love them! They announce your glory as you kill the enemy! If you don't love them, then you shouldn't be playing this game! 
The other day I did a quintriple (5x) smite! Of course, I did this because the AI was totally fricken' stupid, but...

But seriously, I would not mind this option. It's the reason I almost always play this game with headphones on, because it's just too silly to be broadcasting all that shouting around the whole house. 
Isn't it unreal tournmaent-like sounds, and not quake? Or did UT steal them form quake?

I personally like the annoucements, but cannot stand the character voice work. Most of them aren't too bad, but I literally couldn't finish a game playing as Torch Bearer or Regulus. Good news for the OP though, you can turn off all voice overs in the game. In the options settings there is a sound tab. Reduce the slider for voice over to zero and breath a sigh of relief.
