BUG: Loss of Gold

I experienced a pretty disheartening bug today (it even cost me a game).

The short: Dying at the same time as clicking on an item to purchase, can cause the gold to be removed without the item being recieved.

The long: I saved up 25k gold from pretty early on in the game.  It took about half the game to save up and I was planning to buy the All Father's Ring for the massive bonuses it gives.  Shortly after I hit the gold mark, I went over to the artifact shop flag and captured it.  My opponent started attacking and trying to defend the flag, but I was determined to get the ring before I lost the flag again.  I frantically clicked on the shop and then the ring.  I ended up dying at the same time I clicked on the ring.  As the screen went dark for my death timer, I noticed that I didn't have the ring in any of my items slots.  After resurrecting, while on the way back to the shop, I noticed that all of the gold had been removed leaving me with a total of about 1k gold left.
