They might have to make it into an expansion though =(

I have a few ideas for demigod, but some of them are BIG, big enough they would have to fit it all into an expansion instead of a patch. Here are some of my ideas

1. They should definantly change the tracks, some of the tracks got annoying as hell because there are only so many. They should make some of the music more battle-like.

2. The cathedrals are great and all, but having only 1 building kind of takes away from the RTS fraction of the game. Im not saying they should make it like Halo Wars or any of the other RTS games where all you do is save money, build, create units hence Wash Rinse Repeat.

3. Heres my big one. They should make it more custom. ALL of the cathedrals look the same. They should let you atleast customize the cathedrals a little bit. Kind of like the customization of Spore, but not as much obviously. I was also thinking that they should let you creat your own minions, and you get so many points for the type of minion, and make it like this:

Grunt - 5 Points for abilties

Scout - 7 Points for abilites

Warrior - 10 Points for abilites

Sorcer - 10 points for abilites

Preist - 10 points for abilites

Heros - 20 points for abilites

Well thats my idea, just comment on it i guess... anything i might have missed, please correct me on.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are a few things i would like to touch up on here.

I'm going to stick with my thought on the music.

As far as minion customization, i got to thinking on what one of my commenties said, and it lead me to the fact that it would cuase too much cookie cutter build up (like he said). So scratch that idea.

The citidel customization is a problem too, just not as bad. There are ways around CC build up on that, its just unenjoyable for Game creator/editors. When i had my job at blizzard, touching up on the Burning Crusade expansion for WoW was a pain in the ass. Now that I'm sitting here reading some of the things i wrote, im convinced that some of that was inspired by the high of of Hydrocodine that my doctor perscribed me after breaking my phemor in a car wreck a month ago. Gaming is an addiction for me (almost as bad as my smoking) and i have always had some good ideas. Like dule specing in WoW. That was an adopted idea of mine from a buddy. He brought it up, and i worked it out, sent the idea to tech, and voula, dule specing is put in patch 3.0.1, but were not here for WoW or to hear about my past jobs, were here for Demigod.

Why would you want to customize your Citadel?

Yeah, what does that have to do with anything?  Also, minions are finely tuned to the DG, making them custom defeats that.  I'm really just not sure WHY you want these changes made.

Pretty bad ideas, and would lead to imbalances or cookie cutter builds.

if you are playing 5v5, who gets to decide which person's citadel design they want to use?

A lot of things like this would be good to introduce as different game modes.

I don't see a place for something like this in Pantheon, but it'd be easy to code and potentially a lot of people would enjoy it, so why not for custom games?

The only reason I would even want the custom minions is because it leads to a more custom game play. I should have made it a little more specific on what i was thinking. The minions powers would still aline to the DGs, i mean why would a minion of Tourch Bearer have Rook alined powers? No the minions of TB would have Ice/Fire powers just like him, but what i really was thinking was to beable to spec. these powers into your minions. Some of my minions just got boring, always running around doing the same thing :typo: Sorry but i dont really like repetitive things.

Everyone would have there own custom citidel. Obviously they wouldn't make it during or befor the match starts, they would make it at the main menu.

I got to thinking about that, the cookie cutter build up. There are ways around that, but there long and unenjoyable for the game creater. And even more unenjoyable for the editors. But like i said before possible.

Well more diffrences between light and dark would be good. I mean light giants and dark giants, light priests and dark priests and so on? oO
