Download size conflict?

Impulse has a weird size difference resulting in "invalid file" error message, or so it seems

Hi guys,

I am trying to download Demigod through Impulse and have noticed after one failed attempt that the file size of the game (Demigod V 1.00) is different than the download... The game should be 2.8 GB but the downloader says it is downloading *.** out of 1.88 GB, and after my first download it said the file was invalid and gave me no course of action other than a retry. I hope this second attempt will be more fruitfull than my first.

 I have noticed others on this forum has had the same problem, is there any soloution to the problem or perhaps an alternate download link?

I just bought the game.

and it says size of game 2.91 GB  and update progress XXX out of 1.88..

hopefull i dont get the same problem

i had the same issue but the game worked fine for me . your probably just had a stroke of bad luck =)

The 1.88gb file you're downloading is compressed, 2.91gb is the space it will take up on your disk after the install is done.

 

The error the OP got is unrelated. Typically it means that something (antivirus/firewall or malware) is interfering with the download. If the second try gives the same result and you don't want to bother with troubleshooting, just use Impulse Anywhere to download it.
