way to solve quitters

Look i have quit and for the most part i try and stick with it but sometimes it is ok.

to solve the issue of the other team farming the bot make the bot give 25%xp and 25% gold.

let the bot level up but dont let the bot get gold.

of course this only applies if the game starts with no bots

Thats not really a great solution, and no offense to you. You essentially have a BOT that is easy to farm, however, in the few instances that the BOT sticks with someone, or someone follows the BOT around, it can still deal damage. So lowering the reward for a slain BOT, is basically like have a free CREEP for the other team that has abilities, flag capture ability, and item usage.

I think a way to fix the BOT issue is as soon as the player leaves and a BOT takes over, the BOT is given 8,000 gold, and upgraded to Nightmare Difficulty. That way the BOT now may equip itself better, and is gathering gold faster then the players so it stands to be a semi-threat. Just a thought. But by decreased the amount of reward for the BOT, it makes no sense.

IMO The best solution is to remove the AI Teammate as soon as someone leaves the game.

well i tried that and i stood there and watched the bot run strate into 2 players and followed a rag into mines. so no, followen the bot around did not work.

Nightmare might be to difficult for some players. you should be able to choose this as a setting before the game starts. This way you can ajust the lvl of the bot to the skills of the players.

and if you're gonna change the lvl of the bot without giving it as an option, you should put it at hard! It's to easy, but not for the average player

Somebody else already suggested a really nice fix for this: show the number of quits along with other stats for a player. That way the problem solves itself when you acquire a large number of quits and start being denied access to games.

thats not gonna happen so your saying a game starts after a guy gets killed 3 times in a row he quits. Which then its a lost game for the team that had that said player. If a player leaves i leave right after idk what anyone thinks if i wanted to play with bots i would do a single player mode.

If thats in effect then you would have to stay in the game.

Thats a very bad idea.

But thats not very far thought by you. If you would play those games till the end for 1 week many people could gather such a high number of quits that the matchmaking doesn't matches you with them (shirkmish &panthenon) or you could kick them if its a custom game.

Additionally a "surrender button" with no penalty for you if the match is ended via it.

On a site note: I agree to Mordliss skepicism about the usefulness & fairness of a ai kill bonus reducement.

And about nighmare AI: Has anyone really played vs them? I did it and noted only a slight higher level gain. In the end when I didn't looked at the level numbers it wasn't even noticable gameplaywise wether I slay easy, normal or nightmare AI.

That isn't a very good solution without the option to surrender. Theres no point of staying in a losing game after enough of your team drops, so either you get hit with a  +1 leaver stat or stay with bots losing.

yup so the surrender button is the best way

Surrender button is in fact the easiest way to solve it, and it wouldnt take much to add. However, the surrender has to still count as a loss then. Since the other team is technically winning. Right?

You're missing the point here: once this is implemented, there won't be so many quitters anyway.

I'm not saying it shouldn't show the stats, I'm saying the option to surrender should be added soon because without it people may get skewed drop counts because they can't just say i give and end the game for both sides without a disconnect.

no it wont for the most part people care less the amount of disconects besides the amount of bugs in the game that make you drop would inflate the drops.

So what ur sayen is that a pereson with a sim spped of -1 which will cause the game to have fps issues will have to be played. They could implement a ignor list or ban list for each account

I like the surrender idea. I think after someone leaves the match, it should be an available option. If all the remaining players on that one team hit surrender, then the other team all gets a win but the surrendering team doesn't get a lose. Something along the lines of that.
