Frogboy, i will destroy you and eat your soul.
Edit: FIRST!
Although I didn't have connection problems of my own, the difference in getting games started reliably is night and daycompared to the constant connection problems suffered by other folks before the patch.
Also, the #1 bug on my hate-list was fixed, the "I don't care what you tell me to do, I'm just going to stand here and quiver" bug associated with using an ability after issuing an attack command.
Sorry to say, but it's just another epic fail as far as I can tell. Spent about an hour trying to get a (custom) game going without success. Yes, connection to the lobby is considerably faster, but that's the only improvement. It still takes forever to fix yellow/red pings. And when the game eventually starts it always lags like hell. ![]()
It's still a disaster. Actually it seemed to work even worse than before the patch...
Let's give it till monday when the final kinks are worked out and more than just the beta-testers can try it out before we slag it off eh? (\B):vulcan:(\B)

No. Why?
Yes, it's a beta, but all I'm saying is that the Beta didnt do anything for me. If the actual release fixes things I'm more than happy.

So it's a disaster because it didn't do anything for YOU?
I know based on feedback that it has taken us from 30% good, 60% flakey to 10% can't connect to more like 70% good, 25% flakey, 5% can't connect.
That sounds about right, although those 25% flakey do keep custom games from launching a lot while we figure out whos causing the problems. This is after giving everyone who comes in yellow time to connect (and often they dont). Been playing a lot of the day.

the proxy servers are not up. for the beta to work ports need to be turned on.
i got the beta patch and i have noticed the following issues.
1. Ingame lag - disconnects. Played 4 games and in everyone at least 1 person has lagged out early (first 10mins)
2. Favour - still buggy - people with billions of points
3. Impulse guy 1 - in the lobby
connection to lobby is much better but as far as game play goes i think it is worse (ie less stable). You can get a game going quicker but appears less stable (disconnects) with more lag.
Think i will drop back to the pre beta
I've played 3 games so far with the beta, seems much better at connecting than before.
just release the beta out to the public. don't wait for monday...
So it's a disaster because it didn't do anything for YOU?
Oh, come one, don't troll. Of course it is only a disaster for me since it doesnt work for me. I didnt mean to imply anything else. After all, when I give feedback I can only speak for myself and not for anyone else. It's great that others have a positive experience with the patch, but that doesn't help me.
If were were seing a 100% improvement rate, then we probably would, but there seem to be enough oddities to justify more tweakin'.
Of course, some issues may be with the lack of players (i have a feeling skirmish and panth games will be more reliable when the patch is made official), but if we can get even MORE players into the MP goodness, then it'll be worth a day or two of holding off.
And yet the Pantheon is where some get boned because if they patch this Beta than they get stuck with forever searches of games. And yet some people still drop in the load just before the game starts. Sad pandas all around.
Might be easier to have more testers if you guys stop sending everyone to game ranger
my friend can't even connect to lobbies due due to this patch ![]()
Mine either ![]()
