Bat Swarm: Some thoughts

I see two problems that I think should be fixed:

 

1) Bat swarm is I think a little too good to be getting at level 5.

 

2) Level 3 batswarm, at level 15, is an almost useless upgrade.  150 damage at level 15 isn't worth the mana cost or point spend.

 

 

My suggest is then to change the ranges, as follows:

 

Level 1: 15 yard range

Level 2: 22.5 yard range

level 3: 30 yard range

 

Yes, there is no upside to this, and is a strict 'nerf' in the sense that it makes Erebus weaker.  While I'm not one to comment on the DG as a whole, I think this one aspect is in need of some modification.

No different to other Area of Effect spells that other Demigods have access to at even earlier levels - except that this operates in a straight line as opposed to a circle and operates as an escape method. Being as Erebus also has access to mist, this is paramount to the play style of Erebus.

Level three either needs a range increase or a special secondary effect to make it worth the mana cost.

there no problem with bat swarm range  or damgae wise.

IMO bat swarm should not be able to be used near enemy towers. If they ry to swarm near an enemy tower instant death.

Now they will be able to go through rooks towers though

I do not agree that it is too powerful a spell to attain at level 5, because that opens a can of worms arguement for every other DG.

I do agree that the level 3 version of the spell is generally considered to be not worth the point to into it.

Level 2 is mostly important because of the increased ranged, not the damage increase.

Perhaps instead of a nerf (which isn't neccessary just because the 3rd level doesn't have that much of a increase in beneift) perhaps there could only be two levels or like it was earlier stated an additional bonus to level 3.

This is essentially giving the player a nerf because you think the 3rd level of the spell is useless.

Instead of "Hey, let's make it only 2 levels instead"

your suggestion is essentially saying

"Hey, let's make the Erebus players spend 3 points to get the same effect they had with 2 points"

Which I don't quite see as neccesary, although they may want to do something with the 3rd level of spell, since I don't think that many players spend the point to take it.
