How to know you're not going 3 exp players vs. 3 new players?

Having the game aiding you to setup a balanced match...

So, picture if 3 team members on one side all have thousands of favor points and high pantheon rankings.

Then 3 members join on the other side, all relatively new.

Currently (unless I'm mistaken), there is no way in the game to find out when this happens (except, of course, when you get steamrolled and the match is over in 15 minutes).

Could there be a way to find out this information before you start the game?

Could the game itself warn about this, or suggest rebalancing?

Supposedly, Pantheon has a match making service to help prevent this from happening. In custom games, of course you can just talk to the other team or join/make "n00b only" games.

On the other hand, getting steamrolled on occaision is not neccesarily a bad thing, as one can learn from such an experience. I know I have.

The only way to get better at a game is to play it, and the benefit of playing against much better players is that you should, hopefully, get much better yourself. On the other hand, it does really blow your morale when you get steamrolled.

As already mentioned, play skirmish or pantheon, it should rank you with a balance team on both side.

Avoid custom games as this is where you see situations where an arrange team can stomp on newbies.
