Sorry, this is a stupid question. It's just something I was wondering.
Do multiple items of the same type stack? What I mean is, if I buy a helm and then later I buy another helm, will they stack with each other? Or does the better helm's stats get applied while the other helm does nothing?
Oh, they stack alright. Try stacking a few good chestplates, it boosts your survivability through the roof. Or mage slayer and ashkandor....The only limitation is that you cannot have more than one of the *same* item, for example, you can have only one scalemail equiped.
The only stupid questions are the ones you don't ask.
They do stack. You don't have to buy one helm, one gloves etc. You can have three helms on the one head. It helps not to think of them as particular items - think of them more like diablo 2 trinkets that boost your stats from your inventory as opposed to armour you have to wear to benefit.
