New patch, turn down your graphics/sound

In the 5 beta games i played tonight, 4 of them are filled with people with negative sim speed.  The reason is finally we are playing with bigger maps and more people.  It just takes 1 person with low simspeed to slow everyone down.

I would think the beta is mostly technical people or maybe they just have slow computers.  Please turn down your graphics and sound to the lowest possible if you don't have a computer with the recommended specs.

Well, if people insist on being like that, then we'll just have to leave your games. If you're ignorant about your computer's limitations, you make the game worse for everyone.

I believe the sim speed has less meaning than many ppl give it.

Yesterday i played 5v5 for the first time (on beta). The game was lagging noticably. Quite annoying but not completely unplayable.

I couldn't see my own sim speed (it just showed 0) but ppl were telling me i was in the negative and asking whether i could turn down my graphics settings. Since i do have a quite decent PC (Geforce 8800gt, Athlon X2 4600+) sigificantly above the recommended specs I was doubtful but still followed their advice. No change. Game still lagging, sim speed still crap.

After a while the guy with the 180ms ping dropped or RQed (whom i had suspected as being the cause of the lag, since all others were <100ms). And violá: no lag, smooth gaming!

Suspicions confirmed!
