Current Issues with May 11th patch

List any issues that have arisen from the recently launched patch

I was really looking forward to some of the fixes incoming with this patch, unfortunately I've been running into a few issues:

-Lobby connection:  Sometimes I will connect to a lobby host, but will never go into the lobby.  Even if I am the first person to connect to the host.

-Blocking out players: It seems the issue where if one player cannot connect to the host, it can block out any other players from connecting is still present in some situations.

-Player names involving Test#: a significant amount of people are showing up in custom games lobbies with the names Test#.  There seems to be no rhyme or reason to this.

-Connections WILL NOT SETTLE:  Multiple occasions of people connecting to others in the lobby, and then attempting to reconnect after some time has passed.  This is probably the most significant issue right now, as games cannot even be launched because player connections will beging to attempt a reconnect after already establishing a connection.

 

 

Anyone who is having issues with the current patch, please list them.

 

Also note, the list is this long right now because I haven't even been able to get a game going due to either 1, or multiple of these issues arising in each custom game match I've attempted to join.

Regarding "blocking out players", it seems when players disconnect from custom games (via just disconnecting or when they are kicked) it keeps their info in the "connection info" and the player count doesn't seem to go down.  So if it is a 4-player game and there are 3 players and Player A joins (now 4 players), then Player A disconnects (should be 3 players but is actually 4) it still holds on to Player A in the connection info and no new people can join the game.

The end result is disconnecting from a custom game seriously borks the lobby and forces the host to recreate.

 

- Also, when people disconnect from a game in progress it stalls the game for 30 seconds agonizing seconds for them to timeout before it can resume.

- Oh, and I'm seeing a lot more yellows than ever before. :(

Are you kidding me?  No one I know can play with this latest patch.  How could it go from connection improvement in the beta patch to mission: impossible?  I can't believe you somehow got people to pay for you to go to P2P school because it's clear you have a CC (Community College) understanding of what you are doing.  Mad props to you for ripping off an existing product, making it worse, selling it, then breaking it to fund your education instead of paying for one like everyone else.  Frogboy_CC, don't forget to mix in an occasional keg stand, bong rip, or sex with a stranger during these fruitful all nighters you've been pulling while at the P2P CC.  I mean, that's what community college is all about, hitting on that hippi lettuce while skirting all responsibility for just how mediocre your efforts are and have been.

@ csrayne: Perhaps no one you know can play with the new patch because you have no friends. I'm guessing this is because you are a 14-24 year old pussy in real life who futiley attemps to overcome his many, many shortcomings by whining at people in forums under the shroud of internet anonymity. I'm sure you got a great education at the college you went to, where you stayed alone in your dorm studying hard because it was all you could do to distract yourself from the fact that no one invited you to hand out becuase you're an off-putting asshole. So here's my advice to you: Go out on a little search to see who cares about your whiney opinon. I'd suggest your Mom, since you probably still live with her, but I'm guessing she doesn't care either.

Since launch I have been able to connect to pretty much anyone, I would say that I had a 98% sucess rate at connecting to any given player, likewise I could always host games, and it was often a pleasant solution to other games not starting. I have now, however, become one of the "others".

 

- I can no longer host, at all

  • When the lobby fills up, my game just stops responding, and I am forced to end the task via control alt delete. 

- Connecting is a nightmare

  • I sometimes wait endlessly, unable to "load" the lobby, even though I am connected to everyone in said lobby
  • Sometimes, my screen goes black and I see a gold "waiting to connect" message in the center of the screen. When this occurs there is no cancel or exit button, and the connection has yet to got through so I have to end the task.
  • Red 0 pings, occur with much more frequency
  • Overall flaky/laggy behavior. UI lag inside lobbies has begun to crop up. (cant change slots at all, or only with a 5-10 sec delay)
