Demigod Download via Impulse

Hi guys,

I don't know what's wrong with Impulse but I can only download the game with 30-40 kb/s.

My connection can dl up to 16mbit, so its not a problem of my internet. Steam gets updates with at least 1.2mbit.

 

Are the servers so slow? I don't want to wait a week to play :grin:

Dunno, probably a routing issue with your ISP. Most people get their max download rates from Impulse.

Have you tried pausing and restarting? I'm not home now so I can't try to download anything to see if anything's not normal on my end..

You may want to post in the technical support area so they notice it more qiuckly. As Annatar mentioned, downloads from Impulse are usually MUCH faster then this (I get over 400).

The ping is that high because I live in europe, but the dl speed is still stuck at 40kb/s ...

I downloaded "Left 4 Dead" on Steam some days ago and the speed was 1.5 - 1.6 mbit/s and I think Steam's servers are located in the US aswell.

 

Is there any other possibility to load the Installer via Rapidshare or sth like that?

Odd that you are getting such low download speeds.  I typically get 1 Megabyte per second through Impulse, while I'll get about 700 kB / sec through Steam.  I'm in Canada, so you being in Europe may have some effect on this.

You can try downloading an installer and archive files for the game by signing into Impulse Anywhere with your Stardock.net account.

Finally it downloads fast enough. But only with Impulse Anywhere, the software itself is really slow!
