PLEASE Rollback to 5/10. At least it was playable...

helps if you explain the problem so they have an idea of what to fix.
going backwards doesn't help anyone
Going backwards to a more stable version of the game would help me and my friends play the game. We cannot play the game in it's current form. Furthermore, I am not getting paid to troubleshoot their game. As a matter of fact, I paid them for a working product and I should not be expected to be a tester.
That being said, here is the problem as I see it. Custom games involving more than 3 or 4 people seem to have SERIOUS problems getting everyone connected to each other. This seems somewhat fixed by restricting people to join one at a time. However, both games that I was able to "start" using this method, froze about 10 seconds into the game. So, due to these last two patches, I have yet to be able to play a game since I updated Monday night.
I am grateful that they are working on fixing the game, however it doesn't help anyone to release a patch that has not been thoroughly tested....
Sadly, the some current problems with multiplayer are linked with the fact that it doesn't scale well with lots of user. So it can be thoroughly tested with 100 people and fail completly with 10 000 users.
And the only way to have this stress test is to made the patch available to public. A beta patch can only check if nothing is broken. It can't test if it scales correctly with lots of users since only a small part will download the beta patch.
This has very little to do with the current issues. Scale should mean nothing after the game is started. Furthermore, after they discovered that the current setup doesn't scale should have caused them to immediately roll back the patch as it's not functional. The connection issues are only part of the problem. The targetting and spell casting bugs are still in place. The resetting sound bug was created by this 'patch' as well.
The only thing that was fixed, sort of, was favor points and items.
When more issues are created then are fixed, you need to roll it back. There were fewer people having issues before this patch.
beefmonkey: what version number is Impulse reporting you have (hover over the v1.00 to get the full one)? There was an issue with 1.00.075 where it was allowing people with the beta version play people with the production version and vice versa. This was the cause of a lot of the problems. This should be addressed int he 1.00.077 build.
I have 1.00.077 build and I can assure you that it is not yet resolved.
A rollback is perfectly understandable, leaving a game in a broken status is not....
