DemiGod is Unplayable now

Yea, wow, frustrating is putting it mildy. Even after 30+ minutes of surfing lobbies and waiting and failing to connect I can't even play worth a flip because I'm ticked off at all the connection BS. And the eternal blinking DeSync window? WOW...

I want to be optimistic, but I have gone from no problems to nothing but.

Good idea VyperXXX, you aren't worthy to play this game

I had no issues connecting to my friend in custom games before yesterday's patch, but now neither of us can connect to each other's custom games. He's not behind NAT, so I see no reason for it not to work.

Weak. You fail at trolling

Yeah I experienced that earlier, some desync thing going on.

I could get into lobbies, occationally, but we could never start a game after that (Waiting for connection).  I was able to finally play a 1v1, with a prearanged game (password).  It was "ok", but 1v1 is not what I was hoping for; at least a 3v3.

Eh.  I think it's hit or miss for some people.  Earlier tonight I couldn't get a game to save my life.  I gave it a few hours then got a few Pantheon games in no problem.  Now I can't seem to get a game again.

yea, I was able to finally get a game tonight, but it was a long wait and a lot of hassle.

A lot of people where hopping lobbies as well and not giving the lobby a minute or two to fill/settle.  I managed to get two games going, one finished normally, the other Desync'd about 45 seconds into the game.

yea, it's hit or miss, pretty much random if you can get a game or not.

I find it's generally unplayable between the hours of ~8:30 PM CST and 12:00 AM CST (GMT -6).  I have no problems playing at any other time of day.

The problem is connection volume at peak hours.

This game needs a port tester. A message box that says whether or not YOU have your ports setup correctly. The game is smooth as butter when people have their network and computers configured. It can be complicated to get the configuration right, so people think they have it setup correctly, when in fact it isn't, and they get a poor game experience/can't play.

Tools need to be put in place to make sure a person has their own setup correctly configured. I'm not saying How to configure steps for all routers/computers, but merely a box that shows a few tests that affect Multi-player. I.e.

This computer is reachable on ports x-y.

*This computer does not accept non self-requested responses/requests.*

(*Items will affect your ability to play multiplayer games*)

Then when a person recieves a message on their screen about failing one of the tests, they can ask for help, or look up how to configure their own equipment.

Don't know about you guys, but it worked flawlessly for me last night.  It no longer took 20 seconds to connect to everyone, joining the lobbies was much faster, and there were no failed to connect fatal exceptions.

From all my experience it is working better.

(My ports are forwarded btw)

yup i will stick around for a bit after a screen pops up sayen whatever(pauses the game stays there for seconds while the game starts up and cant do dam thing.) if it happens 2 more times i leave the game.

Then before the patch at least you could get a 4v4 game going but now its almost impossible.
