Top 3 weakest demigods

I think the game has excellent balance, and this post is just for kicks. I think people tend to be more honest when posting what they think is weak.

Also, for the record I only really play as Sedna and sometimes with less than excellent players, but here goes:

1. Regulus
2. Unclean beast
3. Oak

If you look at the Demigod pantheon stats you'll see that 1 and 2 are not as weak as you think...

In no particular order, Queen of Thorns, Rook (with a hammer slam, no towers build), and Yeti Sedna

Looking at this from a perspective of who is good vs who, I think the easiest to counter are:

1) Rook

2) TB

Agreed Rook and TB.

Are these Demigods weak in a specific area, or just weak overall? In any case these DG are definitely not weak. Some of their skills could actually be considered OP. Mind saying why you think they are weak?

In my opinion, the weakest DG are the Rook and Queen of Thorns. Perhaps Torch Bearer as well.

I predict that a reasonable and objective discussion will follow, completely free of invective as well as being free of anyone questioning anyone else's sexual preferences.

I have to disagree, TB just scales bad late-game, but seriously how many times did you actually get artifact(s). And tower-spamming Rook is rather annoying. QoT needs some additional love from devs, iirc I haven't seen her in any games lately.

There is no top 3 weakest Demigod imo.

Only maybe a top 1 or 2 strongest DG :)

I haven't found anyone who is what I would call weak. Some Demigods are weaker against specific others, but overall they all have the capability to kill, destroy, and dominate pretty equally.

Anyone who thinks that Unclean is weak needs to learn to play him. His poison is hard to remedy, most characters can't counter it. Early on it will kill you even when you run away.

Rook needs time to get going. His towers of light are the main key to using him effectively.

Oak is godlike everytime I use him. Most people assume that as a general he needs a ton of minions, not really true. Spirits make him deal more damage, his ability to heal from kills shines with his area effect attack. Just get him some mana regen and he can live forever if you aren't foolish with him.

Regulus is a demigod killer, plain and simple. But you can kill towers solo if you use his range. He can effectively kill them and take no damage from them.

Sedna is my favorite, and I have every achievement with her. Yeti's are her strongest power. Nothing screens and most demigod's ignore pets, so they deal some great damage to the moron who ignores them. Her healing and regen are so high that she can take serious damage long enough for her yeti to beat the opponent down. If you aren't playing with yeti's you shouldn't be playing Sedna.

Anyway, there are plenty of gear choices to balance the weaknesses of the demigods, making them able to fight anyone overall. There will always be some imbalance in certain cases, but I haven't seen a player that I couldn't touch with any character. You just have to remember to play to yoru strengths and exploit the enemy weaknesses...which means you need to play each demigod a little to understand them. Some have an easier time in some roles, but they can really do it all given the right strategy.

QOT is weakest. Bramble plus mulch is strong but spikes armor debuff becomes good too late and she has no direct damage spell. Uproot is one of the worst skills in the game and it just doesn't work. Second spike wave spell is useless it's a snare and much like boulder throw but without the damage and the stun it fails. There are a few things they could do to tweak her out some but I would rather have a sedna or oak.

QoT is not good alone, but if you know the other players and they're good, she's a crazy support.

If you get a good start with regulus, he'll get imba really fast!

UB is easy to play and deals rather good amount of damage. He's really good early/mid game and makes sure you get a good start

When you max Rooks towers and buy max armour for him he's imposible to kill and takes down towers really fast. He's slow, but if you're good with the towers you're really hard to kill

Erebus, I don't think people doubt that erebus is good. Night walkers, bite and bat swarm are all good skills

Sedna is imposible to kill and is a good suport

Oak is also hard to kill and a rather easy to play

Tourchbearer deal a crazy amount of damage, he's a bit weak, but since he's ranged it's not that difficult to stay alive!

So, my conclusion is that nobody's weak. A DG that might be weak for one player, but really good for another players. Depending on their skill level and playstyle!

(insert number) Oak- If HoL + Shield is consider an exploit, and later fixed without any buff to Oak, I can see him placing here. Everything he does, someone else does better. Shield + HoL is the only redeeming factor to place him close to the top dogs currently. He has the most balanced match up against every DG, however that just mean he is not very good in bigger game as there are no advantage. Oak is the jack of all trade, but that's a weakness for a team game imo. He does give regulus and TB a hard time though. I have no clue how a 5v5 game with 1 side purely with Oak will go; the thought does scare me a bit.

(insert number) TB- TB is weak early game and has poor late game. This essentially leave TB to be a short good weather friend. I have been experimenting with TB alot, and I still can't get much out of him compared to many other demigods. His bread and butter is rain of ice that really slaughter creeps, but just a simple "don't buy creeps" take away both his bread and butter. However, in a match up that favor TB (against rook or people who buy creeps early), TB still can surprise people in how well he can give a beating. Don't play TB in 3v3 or smaller games; the more he can hit with AoE, the better TB is. With weakest aromr and HP in game, TB really need to stay with tower the entire game unless 2 DGs are in front him.

Everyone else out there, there is something he/she does really well (QoT bramble etc), so it will be heavily dependant on whether the user use that DG's advantages.

Again, I'll say that I think the balance is almost perfect, I was just curious who people picked.

Panthéon is very unrealiable for checking balance right off the front page, for a huge amount of reasons.

As for sedna, general concensus is yetis are horrible. When I tried them myself they were horrible. I've never seen a sedna use them to good effect.  I can see no good reason to use them. Maybe I just haven't played against you yet staalker. : P

As for my reasons:

1. Regulus seems to have trouble holding ground/flags even if he is unkillable and using mines perfectly.

2. For UB, Spit is amazing, but several classes have really good counters (Sedna)

3. I just haven't had problems against an oak recently.

I've been having horrible experiences with TB. There is absolutely no benefit to mixing fire and ice spells. The best you can get out of it is to commit to just one form, meaning you only ever actually have 3 abilities and the fact that you can't shoot while moving in fire form continues to make it frustrating.

It's no wonder UB and Erebus are over-used.

Queen of Thorns by far. She's a one trick pony and only useful with large teams.

End of Gorgeras's quote

I'm back to a hybrid build, and I usually end up putting points in just blizzard, deep freeze, fireball, and health.  It's been pretty solid so far, and maxing out the deep freeze and fireball trees ends up giving you a 1350 damage fireball which is pretty brutal no matter how you look at it.
