4870 unplayable graphical issues after patch

So i just patched to the most recent version of the game. upon starting a game I now am presented with a mess of spastic angry flashing polygons. I have been playing the game for weeks now with no video issues at all.

I am using an ATI HD 4870 that was able to run the game flawlessly prior to this patch. what ever changes were made to the video code totally broke the game.

please present a solution to this issue and fix the underlying problem as quickly as possible.

thank you

I have a 4870, and no such problem.

There is probably something else pulling the string.

I would like to assume you have latest graphic card driver, but I can't mind read.

Can you please follow this link in Internet Explorer:

http://sd.stardock.com/mike/apps/enumerate_startup.bat

save the file, run it, and attach the log file (named startup.log) it generates on the desktop to an e-mail to [email protected] ?  Can you also please go to Start->Run(or Start Search in Vista) and type 'dxdiag' and hit enter. Once everything loads, please click the "Save all information" button and attach the output file (called DxDiag.txt) in the same email.

Also, make sure you're using the most up to date version of DirectX which can be downloaded here:

of course i have the latest graphics driver. I even attempted rolling back the drivers, and still no improvement.

I have gone as far ar uninstalling the drivers and software for the card, removiing and reseating the card, and then reinstalling again. unless the video ram decided to randomly corrupt itself on the exact same day of the most recent patch I can only assume that this is a software and not a hardware issue.

I just tested left 4 Dead, FarCry 2 and fallout 3 with no issues.

However Crysis and Deadspace, (which both worked flawlessly prior to this incident) are having almost identical problems to demigod.

I wish I had this kind of response. I have a 8800M GTX (NVIDIA) which has up to date drivers, but still can't process a game. It is certainly not a mistake of the driver (since I tested with several different versions from 16x to 18x. So, it has to be the engine, because other games run just fine....

Support is off on the weekends, so you should get a response on Monday if you haven't gotten one yet.

If other games are having similar issues, there could be a deeper problem.
