To Stardock - Game Bandwidth

How much bandwidth is necessary to play online Demigod games ?
Considering that typically upstream (upload) bandwidth is lower that downstream (download), to play what type of upstream do we need ?
to:

1v1 game = ??
2v2 game = ??
3v3 game = ??
4v4 game = ??
5v5 game = ??

The amount of data is significantly different as the number of players increase in a game, so knowing this maybe could help people to try to get the correct type of game for they're connection.

you'll likely find that in Demigod upstream will be a similar value to downstream; you send data to as many computers as you receive data from.

I would like to get some user reports on their upload/download speeds for 3v3, 4v4 and 5v5 games.
I have been able to play 4v4's (and one mythical 5v5) in the past but last night in a 4v4 we were lagging out in game badly.  Through discussion it looked like I was the main cause of lag spiking so I dropped out.  A friend was on Skype with me still in the game and said things evened out when I left.  I'd like to have a better idea why (as I have played 4's and 5's before...).

Anyhow, my current upload speed is 310 Kbps.

3v3 = smooth
4v4 = Has been both smooth and laggy
5v5 = Has been both smooth and laggy

yes , I also believe that.

But how much data is necessary ?

Like, if I have a 380kbps upstream, can I play a 5v5 game well ? or only a 3v3 ?
The intention is to be aware of the game bandwidth needs for the several scenarios, If a user as a 128k or a 256k, it's to help them in choosing the right match were they can play without lags caused by bandwidth congestion.

personally I am not very concerned, I have a 18Mbps downstream and 2Mbps upstream connection, and my PC as a simspeed of 10 ...

Do us all a favor.  Download a bandwidth monitoring program.. something like BitMeter http://codebox.no-ip.net/controller?page=bitmeter2.  Then calculate some average bandwidth sizes for 5v5, 4v4.. etc games.  Then post that information! It would be great to know :)

that's one of the biggest downsides of p2p mp gaming. It all relies on the peoples connection... I only have ~200kbps that's not even enough for a 3v3 game. I'm not in the position to get a better connection soon. if people with more bandwidth could release somehow the upload burden for those with a bad upload connection.... ....
