Hmm weird connection problem

Hi peepz,
I bought this game yesterday and i really enjoyed playing the singleplayer to learn the game a little, after
played Dota for 6 years this seemed the right game for me to try.
Now... I have gotten onto the multiplayer side of the game and i ave noticed that any auto-search/join method takes either ages or doesnt work (havnt sit one out yet). However in the customgame games that i join (if i am able to connect with the player-host) i find myself not connecting to like 1/3rd of the people in there, wich makes it unable to start a game? i dont see their ping and i can connect to some people, wich means i cant play... so wazzup?
