Help My SimSpeed

I am currently on a somewhat old (3 years) Dell XPS with a GeForce 9800 GT graphics card, 3 gigs of RAM and a Wireless N wireless adpater and router, and I can run most graphically intense games well (Using Crysis as my point of reference).  I just cannot understand why my Simspeed is significantly lower than the other players in the match by the time there are a lot of creeps and activity going on.  I don't run any programs other than Demigod while I play, save a few applications that really should not hinder gameplay at all, and I have recently updated my driver.

What should I do to remedy this problem, or is there anything that can even be done?  I really don't understand SimSpeed, but I do know that I don't experience problems with any other online game I have ever played, and can play most online FPS games that I have played at highest settings, including Crysis, without an issue.

what kind of cpu do you have? sim speed is pretty much a cpu performance rating.

if your sim speed doesn't drop below 0 you should be okay. if it does, you can try overclocking your cpu, upgrading your cpu or turning down graphics options in the game.

I have Pentium 4 3.20 GHz processor, with the minimum for this game being 2.4 GHz.

You are probably getting hit because of your processor.  While  it is above the minimum, it is not all that much better.

These day games are optamized for multiple cores.  Even though my cores are only 2.4 (the minimum) I have 3 of em.  As a result my sim speed will be better.
