Local Area Network problem

Can no longer host

Hi guys

The problem i am having with the game is not a connectivity issues. Its an issue of hosting lan games. I can no longer host games and play with somone in my household or have freinds over to play. everytime i host, they can never see my game in LAn. Howver when they host, i am able to see there host game in the Lan menu. The funny thing is when the updates never took place i was able to host regardless of any portforwarding. Sine the update i have issue of unable to host and yet the other computers on my lan are able to and i can see there games. And yet mine arn;t to be seen and unable to be connected to.

 

So, can anyone shine a light on this issue and find out for me any info to resolve this minor issue.

It's most likely due to having multiple IP addresses.  Do you have Hamachi installed?  Or are you connected to both a wireless and wired network simultaneously?

You also need network discovery turned on (at least on Vista). I had this issue playing DG over Hamachi when it first released.

If you don't know how/what that is, google. Not too hard to deal with. You may need to enable/start some other services to turn it on.

Also, if you do use Hamachi and have followed steps to prioritize your network connections for it, you may need to re-prioritize them by moving your LAN adapter back up above the Hamachi adapter.
