Wow @ that answer. Without a doubt, a brush-off that just implies incompetence or laziness. That answer might as well have said, "I'm not even going to read the thread you referenced in your question but instead I'll just zero in on the key phrase 'ping-spiking issue' and give you my generic answer because I've already made up my mind up about what your your problem is. Anyway, don't look at Demigod's problems anymore! We'll have a nice, shiny new game for you called Elemental!" Lol, I can just picture him waving his hand in front of your question trying with all his mind's prowess to get his Jedi Mind Trick to work on you via the internet: "There is no Demigod! Buy Elemental! Bring me a taco!!"
If even a part of this thread was read it would have be seen that upload speed isn't the problem. To reiterate, I've got 10Mbps down and 2Mbps up. And everytime I test it, I have at least a 3Mbps Upload! Yet everytime I played a MP game, even ones that were hosted near me here in the US, I'd always be the one lagging while everyone else was trying to get rid of me so they could play without lag. Even in his question Pseudomelon mentioned that the problem did NOT exist for some of us when tested on a worse connection.
*Sigh*...sorry for the rant...
I've got to agree with Misfortune and AdmShatan. It would have been better if it had just been truthfully stated that no fix is forthcoming for this issue due to it being unreproducable, not having enough manpower, not enough technical knowledge, not enough resources, or whatever. Or, that the cost of having to fix the issue would not be justified given the small amount of users experiencing the issue. I'd prefer knowing that than being strung along with distraction, misdirection, and generally vacuous feedback.
Edit: Speaking of which, now that the demo is out, I've seen alot more issues in the forums of people having this exact same problem. I wonder how many people are actually having this issue? I wonder how "small" this problem actually is??
