Loss of Internet after Game start

Kay--Here's the issue::

I can log onto Demigod fine--and I can play single player fine--I can view and join Custom Games fine, and in the Loby I can chat and interact with everyone without a problem--even my Ping is acurate.

However once the Match has begun about a minute or two in, My connection dies--not just to Demigod--but my entire wireless internet goes off. It either disconnects me from the network I've joined or my connection becomes limited.

I'm using a desktop, and my wireless adaptor is the usb connected Dynex Enhanced Wireless G.

I'm only attempting to join my home network--which is on another computer just several feet away--however it's in another room and thus I am unable to run an ethernet wire. The Router is -brand- new, a Linksys WRT54G2, and the Modem is new enough to not be causing problems--honestly I don't know how the modem could be the problem.

My Network -is- WEP protected, and I've quadrouple checked to make sure that everything is correct.

I'm running Winows 7--and at first I thought it might be a compatibility issue, however I can access other online games fine.

IE: Ragnarok Online, UT3, ect.

Before I bought my new router, I was experienceing disconnects from my network atleast five times an hour--after replacing it I only encure these disconnects while trying to join a demigod game.

The only way to get my connection reestablished--that I've found--is to restart my computer.

 

I'm rather desprate to get this working properly--thanks for any assistance.

Are you able to play any matches at all or does it happen every time?

The internet dropping is an issue that has affected a group of people since the patch on 5/14.
(another issue from that patch is large lag spikes for some which may or may not be related to the first issue).

Are you able to move your computer temporarily to test it directly plugged into your router?  My guess is that the issue is unrelated to wireless - something about that recent patch is causing issues. 

Not much help I rwalize - just wanted you to know it is an issue many others are dealing with as well.

this has been happening since I got the game--weeks and weeks ago. Well before 5/14--I believe.

And yes--it happens Everytime.

I haven't tried a wired connection yet--just haven't had the time to actually move thigns around when someone else isn't useing the internet on the other computer.

Hi,

I just tried playing Demigod again after several weeks, and I seem to be having this same issue.

I can log in just fine and join the lobby of a game just fine, but pretty soon after that my whole wireless connection breaks. Completely. And I can't even reconnect to the router afterwards, as Windows tells me that the security key is incorrect (when it obviously isn't). The only way that I have tried, that gets me connected again, is to restart the router.

This happened exactly as described, twice in a row. Now I know that twice isn't very many times to test something, but its a pretty infuriating problem, so I couldn't really take it anymore, to test it further. And the fact that someone else has mentioned it here, tells me that its not my setup that is the issue.

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit, using a Linksys WUSB54G version 4 wireless adapter and a Netgear WGR614 version 9 router (just an FYI, incase it may be of use to someone).

 

So yes, I come back to Demigod after several weeks of abandoning it, but I think I shall continue to leave it for now. I will try again sometime in the future no doubt, as it is a good game.
