Solution to Rageleavers/Game quitters

People who quit a game will keep it on their record. Too many leaves will show ingame and game creator can decide to let them play or not.

Dear Demigod creators:

I have noticed that Rage quitting and game leaving is very popular online in Demigod. I would like to suggest that along with wins, loses and games played players get a "number of games left" record on their website. If a player leaves before the match is over this will go on their record, whether it be an intentional disconnect or not.

Furthermore, this number should show up in a chat message in lobby when a player joins a custom game. This way, the custom game creator can decide whether to allow that player to join the game or not. Skirmishes should match up players according to how many leaves they have on their record. Leavers will have to play with other leavers and players that tend to stay till the end will finally face other players who do the same.

I hope to read comments from the general public and the creators on this issue.

Sincerely,

Boxleitner

or... we could just create something like Ban List on WC3.... then we get a little voice going "Leaver Detected" when ever someone enters a room.

Or we can stop making stupid god damn threads about the beat to death topic of ragequitters and get over it already!

If there is such a stat I'd hope it reflects a %, not an actual number. Also, I think there's two things in effect here, not just "rage quitting". If you quit because one of the enemies killed you three times in a row, it's ragequitting. Not playing out the next 20 minutes when it's clear you've lost is not being a masacist. :P

I believe it is a valid issue and my suggestion is a solution. We, as customers, are paying to play games against other human beings, not AI. When one person bails on his team that upsets the balance of the game in many ways.

Since alot of people don't seem to give a damn about other people's patience in order to get a game freakin started in the first place then eject in the first few minutes because of one death... those people need an incentive to behave otherwise.

I'm sorry for you poor trolls out there that live on threads and threads alone and are tired of reading this rhetoric. For us who actually play the game it is obviously a matter of concern. Thus the large amount of posts you want to stop.

whether it be an intentional disconnect or not
End of quote

I think it is some sort of good idea, but only if you do it intentional.

But it does not really matter if it is intentional, or not.

If you have a ragequitter, he would have to stop that habbit in order to play proper games.

If you had a guy who had infinite "number of games left" due to his connection problems, then he is not welcome as well - since he would destroy the fun for others, no matter it is not intentional.

Now, I am yet to meet a person with such connection problems, so this solution seems acceptable.

I disagree, and I do quite games every now and then. However, not when we have a chance to win. For example:

If we are behind with +10 kills, warscore and this game still is going to last for +10 minutes I say GG, you guys won. I;m not going to play suicide for the next the 10 minutes while I know I will loose. In this case I'm not hurting my team, not hurting my opponent and just give up. I just surrender.

Time to make a new topic with new idea.
