not bad. 7/10 from one person. 8/10 from another.
Haha i have both DoTa and demigod and i still play the two often although DoTa more often as i live in australia and it is hard to find matches to stick to where as Aus DoTa has a strong community behind it with thousands of players. To me they feel like compleatly different games and yet both dont feel very in depth of course they are still fun and im not done with demigod by a long shot but the classic rts with base building a enourmous armys is what really gets my palms swetty as its hugely more micro based and has the famed macromanagement game mechanic that i strongly enjoy because of the higher emphasis on macro and micro managing it really seperates the noobs from the pros which i like alot.I'd love to play demigod more but its unlikely until aus has a stronger community going.
I find it very difficult to take any reviewer seriously who claims that DotA is a 3v3 game...
I've never played DoTA, (*gasp*) but I hate that all reviewers are comparing demigod to it. Yes, they might have gotten the idea from DoTA, but for pete's sake it's a mod from an old game.
They compare it to it because the genre was born from it (yes AoS was first but DotA made it a phenomenon). There's nothing else to compare it to out there. DotA being a mod has nothing to do with anything. There's millions of people playing that mod, which is impressive. Maybe when LoL and more games come out newer games won't be compared as much, but I doubt it. Not what I'd call a big deal, or a deal at all.
