It was explained somewhere that there's a bug with achievement reporting. The reason why you get the initiate every time is because it reports to the server each time you gain 1 extra game towards the achievement, but the server tells the game that you are actually completing the whole achievement.
I have no idea if I explained that correctly, but what you should take from that is that it's currently buggered up 
They should be fixed soon, and hopefully reset for everyone so we can really knock out our achivements.
