Demigod/Impulse Download

HI

 

(First: I hope this is the right Topic for this)

 

Im downloading Demigod (over Impulse) now for ages with an average Download rate of ~50-70 KBs is this slow speed normal?

It is not. Normal Impulse download speed for me is about 6.5 MegaBytes per second. That is for full game downloads, not patches. Impulse anywhere is always glacially slow, since it does not use local servers.

60 Kilobytes, being a hundred times slower, is therefore not normal if you have an internet connection that allows greater speeds. Possible explanations:

- There is something wrong with the particular server Impulse is using for you location.

- There is something wrong with your ISP.

- There is something wrong with the connection between your ISP and the particular server you are downloading from.

Soo

I tried now to dowload over a VPN Connection to a fast server in Amsterdam or Chicago (I´m from Germany) and it is much faster now (arround 1,5 MB/s ...should be ok)

quite wired...but it works ^^

hi,

got the same problem...

i can download with about 30 kb/s my max speed is at 600 kb/s

i checked other downloads but this problem apears only for the impulse downloader.

i m from germany too but i dont know any other alternativs.

ok over night the speed increased and the download finished whithin 6 hours

i m sill not sure if the slow speed is still normal just because it was rush-hour
