Some things I have noticed to seem to be true (no confirmation) that might help people connect better with the new proxy settings setup.
some people are still having problems connecting to others even though the proxy settings are setup. these people most likely have their ports forwarded and the game sees this and is trying to use them, sicne they can connect to most people the game doesn't switch over to the proxy setting. To solve this I would suspect either disabling your port forwarding or setting the no proxy setting in a shortcut should work for you.
to create a shortcut go to your demigod game folder (you can right click on demigod in impulse and it can take you right to the .exe) and right click and go to 'create shortcut'. after you have created a shortcut you can move it wherever you want. Now right click on the shortcut and go to properties. you will see a spot called "Target" that lists the demigod.exe path location. at the end (after the quotes) do a space and type "/serverproxyonly" without the quotes. use this shortcut to run the game.
Only use this if port forwarding does not work as the port forwarding will allow a quicker and smoother connection to other people. when doing the port forwarding make sure the following is done:
firewall is setup correctly on the computer for the game (often people just disable local firewalls even though i don't agree to do this for an extended time).
if you have two connections on the computer make sure one is disabled. This means if you have a wired connection to your router and a wireless connection only one is activate at a time. This can, if both are active, cause the game to go through the wrong IP and the portforwarding to not work.
Other new slash commands are:
/noai - disables the ai in pantheon (as i write this pantheon does not work correctly because of another issue they are fixing)
/skipintro - prevents the intro from playing, allowing for quicker load time into the game (the intro that you hit escape on)
if any one knows anything else or any other slash commands go ahead and speak up.
