May 21st patch update and 10pm update

There has been 2 updates today.   I already updated twice since playing this morning.

Change log:

 

Added proxy server fallback (after direct connection and nat negotiation)
Fix for Pantheon getting stuck finding a game

Are the proxies really up and working? Starring at "This user has not connected to anyone" for more then a couple min is to long. Users that cant connect at all should be logged and if they cant take the time to add the new command line tag they should be tagged internally and rechecked every couple days or weeks that way we dont have to wait.

A night full of ggs for me; only thing we paused for was drinking and lobby mockery.  All around good DG evening; here's to hoping the corner has been turned.

Best of luck in fixing this, I just hope that you haven't chased away a ton of gamers from your products.  You may not think one person giving up on your company is a big deal, but trust me that one person can influence hundreds of people to not touch this game.  Read the other gaming forums...people are laughing at DG.  Quite sad really as this game could be fun if you could ever get placed into a decent game without at least 1 player dropping.

Stardock has been around for quite a while and will be around long after DG (their main business is not games). They didn't develop Demigod, Gas Powered Games did. Stardock seemed to be in charge of Pantheon development so you can lay any problems with that at their feet, but GPG is responsible for the majority of the product.

Really?  I have my ports open and it's worked in the past.  In fact, when you look at the connection it says I'm the first one connected to everyone else.  You know it could be...just might be...that it's still broken for others and that ruins the game for everyone.  In this game if one player drops the game is severly imbalanced.  If this was a free for all type of game it wouldn't be a big deal.

OK, then he needs to "fix his stuff".

And then the next guy and then the next guy and then the next guy.  You're missing the point.  With the way DG sets up games you get randomly put into a match (which I like), but it needs to be bullet proof because one guy dropping == garbage game.

Dang another fanboy that doesn't know anything. You know when you USED to be able to connect (of course I opened my ports to make it happen) and with the new patch it doesn't work...well it did work for me but the other player dropped...so yeah that's me...right.

If you are getting disconnected, its your fault..fix your stuff. if another player disconnected, its his fault...he should fix his stuff. Because people dont want to take faults, and dont want to fix their stuff, they blame SD.

People like to blame other ppl because of their sh1t. You're  now blaming your sh1t, on the 'community' because 'they' are inmature. Well peep, reality check...there will always be inmatures. This game may make it harder for idiots to connect, but thats still dont make it its fault...its those idiots that need to put up their stuff to work.

Edit: SD SHOULD make it so that if a player disconnects while trying to joint he pantheon, it should try to look for another player that can...instead of putting an error message and scrapping everything. That would make things easier
