Random crashes on 64 bit Vista after latest patch

I'm getting an unhandled exception error as well.  I'll copy it here when it happens next.  For me, it usually happens during the match lobby, thoughjust a second ago it happened as the game was just getting started.

This whole week ive had it happen to me only once so .. no idea?

 

Oh and yes im running 64-bit vista (ultimate).

I am on 64bit vista too, and get occasional crashes, mostly when I have played a few games in a row. I'll try running the game in xp compatibility mode for a bit, see if that helps.

For pity's sakes. Demigod has not actually crashed since it was released. Since the latest patches, it will cause an unhandled exception, but ONLY if: you host a game on custom game, and have Vista 64. I really love this game, but the level of resentment from everyone I have played with is incredible. Please just sort it out.

I too have Vista 64 and have gotten unhandled exceptions in the lobby, making it impossible to play. Started during the friday night patch.

EDIT: It has now happened to a Vista 64 user who was just in the lobby at the time. Just to clarify: this happens ONLY when waiting in a lobby for the netcode to sort out connecting everyone. It never happens when actually in game. Also: this forum doesn't allow carriage returns. Also very bad.

I wouldn't really call it a "Vista 64" issue. Sure he had the same OS and you both get the same error. But lets throw a wrench in the mix ..

 

Im 64bit vista and i host majority of my games ... this week it did it once randomly and after that hasn't since. Actually come to think of it i host 99% of my demigod games  because my friends would rather me then them ... /shrug.

 

I'm not sure of the issue or how to fix it ... maybe compatibilty mode like that one guy said? Maybe that would work? But as for now i haven't done that or anything and i run just fine. Window mode to actually.

 

Come to think of it .. WAIT A TIC ... Do you guys minimize your game alot? IF SO THATS WHY!. Minimizing this game causes mad crashes ... hence why i do window mode. But yet only do window mode if your PC can actually handle it ... to many kids play this game with bad processors .

Crashes using XP SP2 compat mode as well....bloody awful..

I had this problem but it dosnt happen now if I only use 1 monitor

Still happening, 2 failure modes:

 

Unhandled Exception while trying to fill a Custom Game lobby, and

 

CTD with no Unhandled Exception mid-game.  This is sometimes accompanied by an inability to log back in, or windows being forced to a Local Only network (particulalrly annoying)
