Citadel Self Destruct

While the idea of having Demigods leave when a player concedes is all right in theory, it will just end up with a one-sided and unsatisfactory victory. Regardless of how many DGs are left on the losing team, there are still towers to push, and without any resistance that is pretty unexciting. My idea is a simple fix to the quitting problem.

Citadel Self Destruct:

It's a 3v3 situation on Cataract. Oak pushed all the way to the middle. The Rook is holding the left portal and Sedna is holding your right one. The game is over, but it will last about five to ten more minutes before the citadel is finally down. Instead of quitting, the option to destory your own citadel is available. It will take a 100% majority vote, everyone must vote yes. When a player does drop it counts as a vote for yes. With a giant crack of thunder from the Finger of God, your citadel is destoryed and the match is over.

This will work on all gameplay modes, and solve the AI player problem.

What do you think?

I think this should be implimented along with the conceding option. I just recently played a game where the entire other team left, but we stayed for the favor points.

Sounds like a good plan, a straight consession is a bit anticlimactic. At least a good self-destruct sequance would be a bit gratifying. :P

That's the whole point of my idea. When the citadel is destoryed, regardless of gameplay mode, the game results in a win for the team whose Citadel still stands.

I really like this idea. It's annoying when the losing team leaves, but if you want your favor points, you need to stick around for 5 more minutes to destroy the citadel.

just wondering though, what about the losing teams favor points, would they still get them since they did not technically leave.

maybe if they all concede add some sort of disgrace marker to the conceding teams favor points to take away participant or remove like 1/2 of their points earned that game

As minor as it sounds, I think it would be a much more fun way to concede for the losing team.  Conceding still feels like quitting, but blowing something up...now there's a way to go out in style!

I think this is a great idea, saves time for all of us and gets us the favor points we want

way too easily abused whether it still gives favor points or not.

2 scenarios:

(1) This kind of concession still gives favor points. So then start a game with a friend and switch off who concedes so you each get tons of favor, without playing more than a minute of the game

(2) This kind of concession does not give favor points. You're losing, you don't care about the measly 10 favor you'll get for staying, so as an angry move your team concedes to deny the other team any points. This scenario isn't particularly worse than ragequitting (cause one quitter means no favor for anyone, by my understanding, since it becomes an AI match), but it kinda is because it provides a recognized game mechanic to enable ragequitting.
